Traditional recipes call for veal, but pork is cheaper and more humane. This was particular image was shot for Smithfield Foods in a makeshift studio which I had to create smack-dab in the middle of one of their meat packing plants. And I owe much of this image’s success to the deft eye and artful techniques of food stylist: extraordinaire Suzie Eaton. My interest in food photography comes very naturally. And it’s no wonder, given how much I love to cook! I really enjoy preparing and eating good food, as well as feeding other people. It’s something I spend a great deal of time (and money) on. And why not? Eating is something we all must do to survive, as well as a great way to share the joy of other human beings. Besides being a great and useful hobby for me, I hope that someday my food photos might even help inspire others to start cooking more and eating better food. Bon Appétit!
