I haven't owned a dog of my own in my adult life, but I do, in fact love them. (OK, maybe not Pit Bulls so much, but that's another story.) So when an old friend of mine from Kentucky, who is now living in New Zealand, invited me to come visit to house- and dog sit for several weeks, how could I resist? So this is Sophie, a purebred Hungarian Vizsla, who was quite a hoot to spend time with. I hadn't been there for more than an hour or two after arriving when I discovered that Sophie was also helping me to unpack.
